U.S. Coast Guard

The Coast Guard is one of the five armed forces of the U.S. and the only military organization within the Department of Homeland Security. Since 1790 the Coast Guard has safeguarded our Nation's maritime interests and environment around the world.  Our speaker, Lt. Thomas Wieland, Commanding Officer of the U.S. Coast Guard Station Channel Islands Harbor will share the responsibilities of this multi-mission unit that’s located right in our back yard.
