Last week, Ira Schoenwald announced this year's Rotary Scholarship winners, and said that we had the largest number of applicants in history. Because of scheduling conflicts, only four of our twelve recipients were able to attend the meeting (left to right in photo): Arianna Rodriguez, Vanessa Vasquez, Kasandra Ruvaicaba and Miguel Rodriguez.
Also last week, we enjoyed a good Craft Talk from new member Christy Rueckert, who subsequently received her Blue Badge.
Perennial Chair Dave reports that Saturday's Meet was an outstanding success, with great weather, 565 entrants (most ever) and 12 new records set. Thanks to everyone who volunteered, and especially to Dave, who continues to lead this, our oldest community service event.
